Writing in Natural History

Combining Biology, Anthropology, English, and Comparative Literature, I plan to write both nonfiction and science fiction.

Would be worth knowing why you call the concentration writing in natural history. Why not writing about natural history, or writing about nature? I have a feeling there is a good underlying reason for the title. Can you share this with readers?

Are there some leaders/models in the field of nature writing you admire and hope to be like? Who are these?

BDIC graduate Peter Manseau started the online journal Search: Science + Religion + Culture. Peter is also a successful novelist and journalist. Suggest you look into his work.
